Track first started as a basic off season conditioning practice to prepare myself for the upcoming baseball seasons that I had all spring and summer long. After getting cut from my baseball team my junior year, I realized that it is finally time that I put my strengths into good use, which was running. My goals started to add on to me as my season started, which was getting new PRs every meet, and getting the attention of the other teams coaches. Also has the season progressed I noticed that my teammates would listen to me more, so I started to lead them in warmups before our major meets and even practice to ensure that they were always ready for their best. I now go to practice everyday with the mindset that I need to improve before my next race, and that I need to lead my team to all better improve themselves. I keep the good energy throughout practice, even when everyone is exhausted and sick of running. Sometimes it seems impossible to make a punishment for other sports enjoyable, but if the energy is there then it can actually be a good time.
