My name is Winnie Simpson and I'm a Senior in high school. I’m currently attending Seacoast Performance Academy playing Tier I hockey on the 18U National Team. My biggest goal is to play Divsion 1 hockey. When it comes to hockey I'm a driven player who also motivates my team. I'm a versatile player who is knowledgable about the game. I've competed with the best student athletes in New York State and have been playing youth leagues of various levels since I was 5 years old. I'm capable of making quick, smart decisions on the ice and I'm a very coachable player. Some of my athletic accomplishments include; being the leading goal scorer during the 2021 New York State Amateur Hockey Association (NYSAHA) State Tournament. As a Sophomore in High School, I was the Captain of my Varsity hockey team and was awarded as a First Team All Star in my division for Offense. Then as a Junior in High School, I was the Captain of my Varisty hockey team again, was also awarded First Team All Star, having received the most votes in my division for Defense, which I only played for 6 games out of the entire season. Early on in my Junior year of hockey, I reached the milestone of tallying 100 Career Points, cummulative from 8th Grade. Other athletic achievements include being the Varsity team Captain for my high school soccer team during my Sophomore and Junior years, and I also won "Play of the Week" for our regional sports news coverage as a Sophomore, which that same clip was later nominated and came in as 2nd place for "Play of the Year" for the same news outlet. I set a personal record by running a 4:58 mile during my Sophomore year. I have natural athletic ability and enjoy honing in on skills to help me improve my game.
