My collegiate goals and aspirations are simple...I want to be the best player and student I can possibly be. I know that sounds like I'm saying what you want to hear, but it is how I live my life. I dream of being a great hockey player and put everything I have into it, but I also need a good education since even the best  players need to have a back-up plan in case of injury. I think I am a good candidate for your team because I am dedicated, motivated, and determined to show I am worthy of the life I've been given. I usually don't talk about this, but my dad died suddenly at the age of 25, when I had just turned 3. We were best friends....he was and still is, my hero! He was so motivated to fulfill his dreams for the two of us and never got the opportunity. My grandmother obtained sole custody of me after a 2 year battle and rescued me from terrible abuse. She and my grandfather skated, so they taught me and I was hooked! They have given me every opportunity to be successful and make my dreams come true. It is up to me to stay motivated and determined, not just for myself but also to reflect  their faith in me! I proudly share my Dad's name and every goal I score is a tribute to him. I am determined to show my potential and live a life for both of us
