Dylan Callahan '22 Recruiting Profile

I stepped on the ice for the first time just over seven years ago at the age of twelve. When I skated up to the crease, I had this overwhelming excitement rushing through my body. At that moment, I knew this was going to be my passion. Within that short amount of time, I was committed to playing at the highest level possible, which has led me to put in the work every single day, striving to strengthen my skills and knowledge of goaltending.

I set a good example for my teammates by having a positive attitude on and off of the ice. They all say I'm fun to be around, but when I put on the mask, I become focused and determined to stop whatever puck is trying to get passed me. I'm very competitive and strive to own the crease. All of my coaches have told me that I am very coachable and athletic.

As long as I'm having fun and giving my very best, my desire to succeed in this sport I love only grows greater. I am very passionate about hockey and my goal is to play in the NCAA. My dream is to play professionally. Hockey has been my life ever since I strapped on the pads, and I'm hoping it will be a big part of my future as well.
