When I stepped on the ice at the age of four for the very first time, I fell in love with the game. I remember repeating to my coach "I want to skate like them," as the other players did drills and we skated around the perimeter of the ice. With each fall, I got back up and worked a little harder. It is at that point when I determined I would work my hardest, never give up and always be my best. That determination lead me to be playing hockey at a competitive, travel level, since I was six years old. In the Spring and Summer of 2017, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to try out and play for the AA 2002 Team Ontario Prospects. This was a great achievement for me and helped prepare my transition into playing AAA hockey.
Before I graduate from high school, I would like to play hockey at the Junior level. I believe this would be an excellent experience and help prepare me to play at the collegiate level. At a young age I set a goal for myself to receive and education, while getting to play hockey in college or university. I believe some of the strong characteristics I possess will help me achieve these future goals. At the age of only fifteen, in hockey, respect is of most importance to me. This includes respect for my coaches, my team mates and myself, both on and off the ice. I pride myself in always doing what is expected of me. By having self respect I have developed discipline and self control, which in turn, has made me into the hockey player I am today. I have always been told I have a "Calmness" in my game and that my "Hockey sense" is far beyond my age. I have a strong knowledge of the game and ability to read the ice.
