Personal Statement
As a competitive student-athlete, I would love to play for the most competitive team to develop my skills and help my teammates. I am a resilient player previously a right winger and then, due to unforeseen circumstances on our team, actively and voluntarily assumed the position of defence with great success. Because of this, I am a skilled 2-way player with explosive offence and solid defence. My play decisions are smart and choices are calculated.
My experiences in various sports allow me to view hockey in a very strategic and tactical way. I was named Male Athlete of the Year at my school and very proud of this. My coaches will tell you of my dedication to my team and teammates and sportsmanship that I bring representing my town and school.
As a student, I have been able to keep up with my work and assignments being in an International Baccalaureate program since Kindergarten. I have shown excellent time management, work-study discipline and juggle the demands of AAA rep hockey with various games, practices and tournaments and spending quality family time.
I have also found time to volunteer with my younger brother's ice hockey team helping with their practices and have been involved in volunteering in my hometown of Brampton (food donations during COVID for vulnerable families).
