I have always been interested in sports, human kinetics, and business. Therefore, my aspiration to play hockey while acquiring a degree complements my interests.
Teachers and coaches often tell me that I have good leadership and an excellent work ethic. Over the past 10 years of playing hockey, I have developed a high IQ evident in my gameplay. I am a two-way defenseman with a physical presence. If selected, my coachability will help the team toward a positive outcome. I believe that skills learned in the classroom transfer to the ice. I pride myself on being a good student and a team player. Being a team player transfers to the classroom allowing me to collaborate with classmates for discussions and group work. I believe that a person should be accountable to classmates. In addition, I hold myself responsible to teammates, coaches, teachers, and ultimately myself. I strive to do my best through preparation; practice, repetition, and correcting mistakes. I accept feedback from teachers and coaches and make adjustments where necessary. But most importantly, I love hockey.
