  • Camp/Event
  • ONTARIO HOCKEY FEDERATION - U18 AAA Ontario Provincial CHAMPIONSHIPS
  • 4/03/23 to 4/09/23
  • ONTARIO HOCKEY FEDERATION (OHF) U18 AAA - All Ontario Championships. The North Bay Trappers (NOHA) played the Champions of Ontario's other Leagues (GTHL, Alliance, HEO, OMHA). We faced Toronto Jr. Canadians, Elgin Middlesex Canucks, Oshawa Generals, Windsor Spitfires, 67's- all ranked as some of the Top elite AAA teams in Ontario. JRC is ranked 1st overall, Elgin 3rd, Oshawa 6th, Windsor 14th. The Trappers ranked 21st (out of 66 U18 AAA Teams in Ontario this season). The Trappers came up short against some awesome teams & fierce competition.. JRC won . You win & lose as a TEAM- I am PROUD of the accomplishments this season of the NORTH BAY TRAPPERS & all my TEAM! That is my FIRST PRIORITY- not individual accomplishments- however I was advised that myself & my D partner Grayson Bradley had the best +/- for D pairings for our individual Team Stats when we were on the ice. I know I competed/was right there/ against Ontario's best- & they know it too!
  • Camp/Event
  • 2023 -U18 AAA -NOHA/GNML Playoff CHAMPIONS
  • 3/15/23 to 3/19/23
  • 2022-2023 NORTH BAY TRAPPERS U18 AAA - **LEAGUE CHAMPIONS.** Our TEAM under Head Coach Doug Sanders went 5-0 in the Playoff format culminating in advancement to the Championship Finals vs the top seed in the League & highly favored to win - Soo Jr Greyhounds. The TRAPPERS prevailed & we captured the Great North's U18 AAA Championship Title! As a result of winning the Northern Ontario Hockey Association ( NOHA) League Championship we qualified for the Elite all Ontario (OHF) U18 AAA Championships.
  • Camp/Event
  • 22/23' Steve Richey AAA Tournament of Champions
  • 1/18/23 to 1/22/23
  • 2022/23'- Elite Ontario Canada AAA Tournament. In Round Robin portion our TEAM went undefeated with 3 wins and 1 Tie. The other top team in our Division, the Waterloo Wolves also had a 3-0-1 standing. The Wolves were the team we tied 2-2 in the round robin. The Wolves advanced due to a technicality in tournament rules as they had a few more goals for than us in the round robin. The Wolves went on to win the Tournament "undefeated"...except it was us the North Bay Trappers who they did not beat - as we tied them 2-2. My plus minus was +2 for tournament. Waterloo beat every team but the TRAPPERS. They may have won the tournament, (on a Tourny technicality) & I give them credit .... but they couldn't beat us.
  • Camp/Event
  • 22/23' Vaughan Kings Classic Annual Tournament
  • 12/08/22 to 12/11/22
  • 2022/23'- D- Man w/ the North Bay Trappers U18 AAA under head Coach Doug Sanders- Toronto Tournament- winning in the round robin portion against other elite GTHL AAA teams and ultimately defeating the Host and favoured Vaughan Kings Team 2-0 in the semi finals. In the Finals on Sunday in a wild battle vs the # 1 ranked AAA team in Ontario the Toronto Jr Canadians (JRC) we held tough taking the Silver.
  • Camp/Event
  • August '22 - Affiliate JR A Player - Powassan Voodoos Main Camp - Northern Ontario Jr Hockey League NOJHL
  • 8/25/22 to 8/28/22
  • Invited by Head Coach Peter Goulet & GM Chris Dawson to attend the NOJHL's Powassan Voodoos Main Camp after attending a successful Voodoos Rookie camp in July '22. As a result the Coach offered me a position as an 16 yr old Affiliate Player ( AP) . The Coach also requested I practice with the Voodoos when my U18 AAA team schedule permitted. I participated in pre season games & attended numerous practices with the Powassan Voodoos as well as private Ice with Coach Goulet during the 22/23 Season when my main Team ( North Bay Trappers U18 AAA) schedule permitted.
  • Camp/Event
  • 2022' *OHL CUP*
  • 3/29/22 to 4/04/22
  • *2022 OHL CUP*- Selected to play in the Ontario Hockey Leagues' Elite OHL CUP in Toronto proudly representing the NORTHERN ONTARIO HOCKEY ASSOCIATION "TEAM NOHA." **Top U16 AAA players in Ontario selected for this tournament hosted by the OHL. "TEAM NOHA" went 2-2 in round robin. My plus minus was 0 and I was put out head to head against Ontario's Top AAA forwards and also utilized on special teams- PK in tournament. I shut them down when I was on the Ice.
  • Camp/Event
  • January- April 22' Northern Ontario Jr A Hockey League ( NOJHL) 2022 Playoffs - Affiliate Player
  • 1/15/22 to 4/12/22
  • JR A Hockey- NOJHL -French River Rapids - Jan 2022 offered affiliate player (AP) by GM & Head Coach Paul Frustaglio while with the North Bay U16 AAA Trappers under Head Coach Guy Blanchard. Attended practices with the Rapids when schedule permitted. The Playoffs that spring had the Rapids facing the top Seeded Timmins Rock. I played in 2 playoff games, one on the road in a packed raucous rink in Timmins & one at home ice in Noelville. The Rock ultimately prevailed & went on to the divisional JR A Finals. I had a combined +1 rating & had 1 assist vs the Rock. The average age of NOJHL players is between 18-21. The Coach told me I played Strong & Fearless for my age. After the season ended the Rapids offered me a (card) spot as a 16 yr old for the 22/23 Season; JR A Teams only take 2- 16 yr old players. I was grateful for & appreciative, as their GM was 1st class in how I was treated-but due to School, distance & other family & Hockey commitments I was not able to take the offer.
