Personal Statement

I’m a 6’0 190 pound offensive defenseman who plays a very good defensive game, as well as an explosive and creative offensive game. I make good, strong passes and can see the ice quite well from the back-end. I play for the Trenton Golden Hawks at the Junior A level in the OJHL. I am a top defensemen in the league with 61 points (9 G, 52 A) in 69 games this season. I led all skaters in the playoffs with 22 points and 19 assists I quarterback the powerplay, and play top penalty killing minutes while taking care of the defensive zone. I was selected to the 2022 OJHL All-Star team. In the 2020 season, I was chosen for the Midget AAA ETA All-Star game where I had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 win and was also chosen for the Midget OMHA All-Star team and the OJHL AP All-Star team. I won the John Leahy Memorial Award which is awarded to the player who has demonstrated great dedication, leadership and sportsmanship.

My goals are to play for a D1 school and to contribute to the overall success of the team. I want to play good competitive hockey while being able to continue my education and do so at a top academic school.
