From a very young age hockey has been at the center of my life. 6 a.m. practices and long commutes were not ideal, but I soon discovered that I had a profound interest in the sport. I have learned the value teamwork, and that no matter the outcome, being part of strong-knit team is the ultimate reward. With commitment and hard work, any goal can be achieved, no matter what obstacles are presented. It is with this mentality that I live my life.
In high school, I want to continue my path of self-improvement and self-discovery. This would prepare me for the college arena, which, at present, I would like to be part of a school that focuses equally on academics and athletics, while not leaving out the individual factor of its undergraduates. I’ve grasped the characteristics of being friendly, polite, thoughtful, and understanding of when it’s my turn to listen to what others have to offer. As a person full of curiosity I am eager to enter the next stage of my life, whatever that may be.
