Marshall McMurtry '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello prospective coaches!

My name is Marshall McMurtry, and I grew up playing hockey in Nashville, TN. I am a student at Liberty Creek High School and am part of the 2026 graduating class. I am a right-handed defenseman and play for both my school’s team, a travel team, and a tournament team. 

I hope to play at a college where sportsmanship, constructive coaching, and camaraderie are prioritized. I am a team player and an effective leader both on and off the ice. I always have my teammates' backs, whether it’s on the ice or off ( sometimes in the penalty box). I bring a strong work ethic, grit, and an attitude of perseverance that will be an asset to any team.

Ideally, I would like to play for an ACHA team where coaches are mentors and I can gain hockey and life skills.
