Dear Coaches,
I was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Texas when I was 9 months old. My Dad played a high level of minor hockey in Edmonton playing Bantam and Midget AAA. I have had a love for the game since I was young. I started playing when I was about 8 years old and have been working hard on my skills and skating to continue to improve my abilities. Now that I am entering Highschool, I have started to think about my future and how I would love to go to college and play a high-level of hockey while doing so. I have played several years of select hockey now and this year I am playing Gold on my high school team. I believe playing select hockey has prepared me to be able to balance the work of school and still be able to play a high level of hockey while doing so. What makes me different than the other players is that I put in 100% every time I hit the ice. I am also a very coachable player who wants to improve every part of my game in order to help my team be successful. In my 2016-17 select season my team went undefeated in regular season and we also won the league championship that year. I also led the league that season in points with 23 goals and 17 assists in 20 games. And in the playoffs I had 14 points in 4 games. I would love this opportunity to be considered in your program.
Justin Mainville.
