I have a always considered hockey to be one of the most important aspects of my life, and I would like to do everything possible to continue to play at the highest level in college. This upcoming season will only be my fourth season of playing travel hockey, but in my four years of travel hockey, I have worked my way up the ranks to play a higher level each season. In my second year of travel hockey, I was playing on a UA/B level team. In that year, I was in 8th grade, and I realized that I wanted to take hockey very seriously. I began to train 5 days a week, so that I would be able to be the best player on my team, and play at a much higher level the following year. That season, I was the captain of my team as a first year bantam, and led my team in both goals and assists. After that season, I left the only club I had ever known for an opportunity to play at a higher level. At the new club I tried out for, I made their highest team which was the AA team. Additionally, I was on the first line my high school’s varsity team as Freshman. For this season, I have made the AA team at my club, which is the highest level team they have, and my team is scheduled to play a handful of AAA teams this season.
Academically, I have always been at the top of my class, and consider it just as important as hockey. Throughout all of my schooling, I have never finished with grade that is not an A in a class. I have always challenged myself in school by taking the highest level classes offered. This past school year I finished with a 4.24 gpa, all while playing both hockey and lacrosse. I have always worked to be a leader in and out of the classroom, and set the example for those around me.
