My name is Ethan Salter,
I am 17 years old and in the 12th grade.
I am a two-way, left defenseman, currently playing my 3rd year in the CSSHL with the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy U18 Prep, previously with Delta Hockey Academy 16U Prep.
I started playing hockey around the age of four and quickly fell in love with the game.
I am a dual Canadian-American citizen.
I was born in Newmarket, ON and moved to Seattle, WA where I started playing hockey. I would love to play in either Canada or the USA.
I have played on multiple AA and AAA teams.
At 15, I moved away from home to pursue an opportunity in Delta, BC where I could develop and sharpen my skills to become a better hockey player.
I am committed and devoted to becoming a better athlete and person, on and off the ice. I am a positive player and I always keep a positive mindset towards myself and my teammates. I am competitive and will always play for the logo on the front of my jersey with respect and pride.
I am a leader who has utmost respect for my coaches and teammates.
I am a hard working player, who earns every shift. I have put numerous hours into shaping my game. I am in the gym conditioning and on the ice 4-7 days each week with my team. I feel my game is developing rapidly and I am gaining confidence in my game each day. I am watching hockey constantly and retaining as much knowledge as possible, watching my shifts to look at what could've been better and what was done well. My game is more physical than the typical defenseman, I am hard to be near in front of the net, I can angle people out on the boards, step up on the blue line and I am not afraid to throw my body around.
I like to set goals for myself throughout the week, writing them down and working on achieving them each day, I find that this keeps me on track and focused on my goals. I believe these goals can turn into bigger and better things one day. I truly believe in myself and work hard for what I want.
Thank you,
Ethan Salter
