Personal Statement

I want to go to a school that will challenge me, push me, and instill great life lessons within me that I can use within the real world. I want to play for a team that will not only make me a better hockey player, but also make me a better person in the process. My current Gpa is a 3.92 on a 4.0 scale, and I am working to get that up to a 4.0 going into college. I want to go to a school that offers many great marketing courses, but also one with many options because many students change their major throughout the course of college, which is why it is important to always keep your options open.

I am a very fast, physical, and gritty player who will go into corners, and battle hard. I love to score goals, which is why I continue to work on my shot and shoot every single day.  My coaches tell me I have a very hard and accurate shot, as well as a very strong one timer.  Many of my coaches have told me I have a great deal of skill, but what really stands out is my leadership abilities. I am a motivator and a strong believer in giving back to the game, which is why i have been a student coach for 4+ years mentoring younger kids who have a passion for the game just as much as I do. This past year, I won a leadership award that is awarded to the player who represents the program to the highest standard, is more than just a great teammate, and keeps everyone motivated, and positive throughout the course of games and the season.  My coaches have also said I am one of the hardest working individuals they have ever seen, which really helps motivate my teammates get better at the sport they love.  You don't always need a letter on your chest to make an keep the ship on course, and good strong leadership holds intangible benefits at the core of the program, but also offers consistent team momentum.

If I am chosen to attend your school I promise to be a leader and represent the program to the highest of standards. I will push myself and be a great teammate. I will become a better player and a better person.  I want to play for your school because this is will help me not only reach my goals, but develop me to my fullest potential as a player, and as a person.

  • Camp/Event
  • Power Edge Pro Camp
  • 7/23/18 to 7/27/18
  • This was a camp run by Peter Dale, a very top level coach in Wisconsin who attended the pro Power Edge Pro camp this past summer. The power edge pro training system is none like any other because it works all aspects of a players game. This helps stick handling, skating, etc. As mentioned, this is the technology that pro players are using to train. (I have done this type of training more than once, but this is the most notable camp).
  • Camp/Event
  • NCD Camps
  • 7/15/17 to 7/18/17
  • This is a camp that introduces and exposes hockey players what the college hockey level is all about. There are 24-26 college Level coaches that attend this camp, and are on the ice with the players. For this camp, I was on team royale and registered 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 of the camps games. This camp helped me get introduced to what college hockey is all about.

This a program I predominately train with because Coach Dale offers many great tools in enhance my skills(PEP,Inertia Wave etc.)
  • Impact Hockey Academy
  • 2 years
  • This is an organization run by one of my coaches named Bud Simon, who is a coach not only for my team, but for the Chicago Young Americans girls teams. He also runs the Elmbrook youth hockey association. His camps and training focus on making an impact on the ice and be one of those threat players. He offers all the skills, but focuses a lot on skating. He has a hockey treadmill in his training facility.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
