Hello Coaches!
I GRADUATED in 2020...I have sat out due to covid. I workout and run everyday...I am physically bigger and stronger than I was . I am looking for a team for fall 2021. I still have 100% eligibility. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>*******After decommitting from a D1 school ...UNLESS I CAN FIND A 2020 Program that's a GREAT fit, I will do a PG year. I am looking at Hill Academy or IMG and will reclassifying as a 2021 ******
[***Update*** As of Aug 2019 I am now attending Marana HS where I am starting on the Varsity FB team at WR/CB and Kickoff/Kickoff Return (SPEED!!!).*** [No Fall lax 4 now]
My name is Austin Marcum, I'm a 2020 lacrosse player that lives in Arizona. I started every varsity game at Attack and Middie both my freshman, sophomore , Junior years and now Senior Year. I have just committed to playing club with Team 12 (Tom Demaio); in the past I have played with West Coast Starz, Blue Chip Nationals and Arizona Hot Sauce (Dan Lannon); I also played for Arizona Box Lacrosse team with Canadian lacrosse and NLL phenom Coach Ben Pepchuck (NLL ALL-Star). I just transferred for my junior year and now attend/play for Salpointe Catholic HS lacrosse team in Tucson, AZ Coached by Kevin Krieger (AFA Grad).
For the 2019 HS session I had I had 37 goals, 31 assists, 26 GB and 3 caused turnovers/Take-Aways over 10 games.
I’m a team player that always put my team first over any personal wins or awards. I play with heart and I look to get better at lacrosse and life each and every day. I would love to attend a school and earn a business degree; I’d like to get into coaching as a grad assistant and coach at the collegiate level while starting my own lacrosse apparel and equipment company. I've only been playing lacrosse since 2013, I'm still learning the game but everyone tells me I'm a natural talent in the sport and I have tons more potential waiting to be developed by the right program.
***Update...Just clocked with radar shooting 86 mph. Not bad, I just turned 17! I will get faster and stronger.
***I have committed to 300 wall ball touches in under 5 minutes, 400 sit-ups a day and a minimum of benching my body weight 10x or 90% of my body weight 7x over by June.
I'm attaching a list of my recent accomplishments:
3.2 GPA, 5'10 (Still growing), 155 lbs.
*Righty that shoots a wicked left, I've been told my left is so strong, my coach now wants me to go back and work on my natural right hand.
