Dear Coaches - thank you for taking the time to examine my profile this far. My name is Paul Burns and I am a midfielder/attack in the class of 2028. I moved to California from the Midwest when I was 5 years old. After playing various sports, including baseball and soccer, I started playing lacrosse when I was 8 years old - and have fallen in love with the game.
I just finished my Freshman season with the Berkeley High School Men's Varsity team. We had and awesome season going 18-4 overall, winning our conference championship (WAAC) and making it into the second round of the NCS playoffs. I started every game, playing attack, which was a new position for me. I scored 33 goals and had 10 assists. My best game came in our Conference Championship in which I scored four goals - including the first three of the game for Berkeley. I earned 2nd Team All-League honors and also received the Ryan Taylor Memorial Award from my coaches honoring the most "Inspirational Player" of the year.
In my last season of 10U I also began playing "Comp" lacrosse for ADVNC - the largest, most competitive travel club in the Bay Area. I currently play on the ADVNC East Bay 28' team and the NDP NorCal team. Jason Pereles is my head coach. This summer I have five tournaments I'm really excited to play in: The Battle of the Bay here in San Francisco, the PrimeTime HS Invitational in New Haven, CT, The Open in Upper Marlboro, MD, the Western Shootout in Colorado Springs and the West Coast Showdown in Sunnyvale, CA.
Later this summer I'm also visiting Bogota, Columbia with ADVNC on a service project with Lacrosse the Nations where I'll be working to teach lacrosse and support kids in South America.
My goal is to play lacrosse in college at the highest level possible on a great team, with great players and great coaching.
