Good day. I’m Samuel Zieschang, a 5’ 11”, 140lbs LSM/ defenseman from Colorado. Playing for MPHS, I have been a LSM, but I had previously played defense. Starting lacrosse in third grade, lacrosse stuck with me unlike any other sport. It is my goal to play college lacrosse. Lacrosse requires more mental and physical toughness than most sports. I took a break from lacrosse during the pandemic, but the break only strengthened my desire to play. I give 100% at practices and competitions. I am usually the first to arrive and the last to leave. I assert controlled aggressiveness on the field, think strategically, and strive to continually better myself by evaluating the outcome of my actions. I am a leader on and off the field and communicate well with both coaches and teammates. I earned the sportsmanship award for my varsity high school team this year. Unfortunately, my arm was broken from receiving an illegal hit in a game early in the season, but I still attended most practices and all but one game. I also put in over 50 hours as a volunteer coach for 3rd to 8th graders in the local club teams this spring. I always strive to be a good example for everyone around me. I am truly a team player and would be an asset to your organization. Thank you for your interest.
