I began playing with a lacrosse stick at age three. My father grew up playing the sport on Long Island, and he went on to play club lacrosse at Purdue and while attending law school at UVA. He introduced me to the game teaching me to throw tennis balls with a lacrosse stick for our dogs in the backyard. I began playing lacrosse for my town, New Canaan, in kindergarten and I quickly grew to love the sport. By second grade I was playing on a mixed second and third grade travel team for New Canaan. In the summer after fifth grade, I began playing for the Connecticut Chargers in addition to playing town travel lacrosse and for my school’s team. I now play for the Eclipse Lacrosse Club and have for the past two years. I am extremely passionate about lacrosse and would love to have the opportunity to play in college. I am a very strong and dedicated student and my goal is to achieve straight A’s throughout my high school years while playing both lacrosse and ice hockey, another sport I love. Although lacrosse is very important to me, I am looking for the best school I can find academically. I believe that I have the strength of character necessary to be a valuable teammate. I understand the importance of supporting others, working hard, and being the best person I can be both on and off the field.
