Hello, my name is Evan Trabosh, I am currently enrolled at Cypress Bay High School in Weston Florida. I just finished my junior year where I made the varsity team. I am a first year player as I moved to South Florida from Texas half way through my sophomore year. I played baseball for 8 years in Texas before moving to Florida. I started playing lacrosse the summer of 2012 with multiple camps and then played for the U15 Barracudas in the fall as the starting goalie. At Cypress Bay I started 8 games on Varsity this past year and finished the year with an 9-1 record, with 2.39 goals against average and a save percentage of 71.9%. We finished the season 15-1 and lost the District Championship in Overtime.
I have been able to pick up the game very fast and have had the opportunity to learn from some great coaches this past year. I currently play for the South Florida Praetorians coached by Doug Shanahan (MLL Long Island Lizards, 3x All-American at Hofstra University, 2001 National Player of the Year, inaugural Tewaaraton Trophy winner) and Geoff Swinerton (named 2013 US Lacrosse coach of the year and also head coach at Cypress Bay High School). I am scheduled in multiple camps this summer to continue my progression in this amazing sport. I know I picked up the sport late in High School; however, my goal is to find a college that will fit my academic focus as well as give me the opportunity to play lacrosse at the highest level possible. I truly believe that my best lacrosse is ahead of me!
