My name is Clifton Tullar, and I am an Attackman for the Class of 2023. I want to attend a college where I can succeed both on the field and in the classroom. I am an honors student and believe academics are important, so I am focused on being stronger in my studies as I go through high school.
I’ve played other sports in the past, including basketball, tennis, baseball and football; but lacrosse is the sport I truly love playing. After first playing lacrosse at summer camp, I started playing on a team in an out-of-county youth program when I was in 5th grade. Because my high school doesn’t have a lacrosse team, I started playing for the Atlanta Empire Lacrosse travel/club team after 8th grade and continue to play for Atlanta Empire Lacrosse.
Aside from playing lacrosse, I am very involved in my church youth group. I participate in Sunday worship and Christian education, Wednesday small group, service projects and youth conferences. I am also part of my high school’s competitive program of choice – L.E.G.A.C.Y. (Leadership, Excellence, Grit, Achievement, Character, Youth-led acts of service) – which focuses on leadership development and service-based community projects. I realize how valuable these skills are and will continue developing them so that by the time I graduate I will be better prepared for college life and beyond.
Thank you for considering me.
