Steven Schmidt '21 Recruiting Profile

I've played soccer since I learned how to walk, and I hope I can play until I can't walk anymore. 

Soccer has always played an intrinsic role in my life. The beautiful game has helped me meet friends, and taught me valuable lessons about discipline, teamwork, and character. No matter what stage I've been at in life, I've always been committed to the sport and my team. I've played on teams in different states, so I'm not afraid of new challenges. I've played every position (even goalkeeper) and I value versatility. I can play anywhere in midfield or defense because I'll bring undying passion, energy, speed, and aggression to my team the whole game, every game.

I've played on the academy team for the Lanier Soccer Association since u9, and know what its like to participate in competitive leagues. I've played on the varsity soccer team for Flowery Branch and Cherokee Bluff high school since my freshman year. I also annually participate in the Copa Coca-Cola tournament, my local futsal league, and the ID camps at Clemson or Furman University.
