Steven Schwab '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Steven Schwab and I am looking to play lacrosse at the college level. I am 5'10, 145 lbs, and very athletic. All my life, I have been playing sports. Whether it's tennis, golf, baseball, soccer, track, cross country, or lacrosse, I just love playing sports. The sport I excel at and am passionate about is lacrosse. I started Lacrosse Sophomore year and just had a blast playing. I quickly realized that even though I was a starting sprinter in track freshman year, waiting for five hours at a time to run a race did not enthrall me. I decided I could use my speed in lacrosse where the game requires contact, speed, and strategy combined. My JV coach had a big impact on my decision to further my playing because he told me how much my character had developed over the season. I was not even close to being a good player, but I had to ask myself how bad I really wanted it. So I practiced every day outside in the snow and got better. I became a midfield starter and enjoyed every second of playing. I feel that I am consistently improving as a player and I work hard and fight through adversity. I have always had the drive to do better, whether it be on the field or in school. I am open to any school in the U.S. right now. Geography or division is not an issue. I do not have a desired major yet, but I am exploring different career fields in high school right now. My athletic goals are to compete at a college level that challenges my playing skills. I will practice until it gets too dark or someone forces me to come in. All in all, lacrosse to me is a time where I can show off what I am good at and what I enjoy doing.
