I have been through so much over the years. My life was a never-ending rollercoaster ride. Though all the chaos one thing remained stable over the years. The sport I loved was the one thing that gave me control over my life. I could not control things like my family situation but, I could control how much work I put into the water.
The one thing that makes me stand out from all the other candidates is the fact that in swim when I reach for a goal I will do absolutely anything to obtain it. And that isn`t just in the water. I consider myself an athlete, artist, debater, and a perfectionist. I am on the varsity debate team at my school and it is a large part of who I am. Art has been important to me as well for years! I have had plenty of pieces be in art shows. No matter what I am doing I am a perfectionist, I will do absolutely anything to be successful as a collegiate athlete.
Coach Grant always says,"Conduct yourself as champions, in and out of the water." I really take that statement to heart and try and be the person I can be the best I can possibly be and lead my fellow teammates to well deserved victory. Swimming in college has always been a dream of mine. I am currently only a freshman but I have an understanding that if I want to make that dream come true I better work towards it sooner rather than later.
