I was born in Colorado and moved to Illinois in 2nd grade. My first competitive sport was ski racing. I started skiing at the age of 2 and competing at the age of 4 finding success in the sport. However, I realized I much prefer to be part of a team. I like supporting my teammates and celebrating our successes together. There’s nothing better than a friendly fist pump after a great play, not giving up when we are down and celebrating winning, especially a hard-fought win from behind. I am told I have a high EQ (emotional intelligence), or understanding of how actions affect others. This is a strength which is beneficial in playing lacrosse as far as seeing and setting up the play. I’m known as a transitional midfielder, getting the ball up the field with my speed which is also beneficial in my play as attack. My teammates see me as a selfless player and trust my actions on and off the field. I am planning to pursue a degree in history and explore career options in sportscasting. If these qualities and goals would be an asset to your program, I would look forward to learning more about your school.
