Karsten Nordlie '22 Recruiting Profile

Sports have been a vital part of my life, but Lacrosse is my passion and as I venture on in my career, I want to continue playing at the highest collegiate level possible. I am currently interested in studying Computer Science/Cybersecurity. I believe that my 4.00 GPA with an AP and multiple Honors classes will help in preparing me to earn my bachelor’s degree.

Since I was young, I have always been a multi-sport athlete playing football, lacrosse, and wrestling which has helped me in developing quick footwork, excellent defense, and dodging skills. My high IQ for the game helps me make smart decisions at the right time to excel on the field and help teammates in their positioning. I pride myself in being an all-around player but strive to be the best defensive player on the field and being able to always place the ball in a position to help my teammates score.  Through my years of wrestling and playing football, I have developed strengths that have taught me to outwork the competition, never give up and always get my pads lower than my opponent and maintain leverage which has translated well in playing Lacrosse.  I thrive on competition and make it my mission to prove to people that I can play with the best.

The reason I want to continue playing in college and hopefully beyond is because I like the camaraderie of being part of something bigger than myself and I value the strong bonds and relationships that develop with being part of a team.  I am looking for a team that values lifting and conditioning, is serious about winning but also wanting to ensure that playing lacrosse continues to be fun.
