Adison Hommel '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Adison Hommel.  I am a senior at Stephen Decatur HS.  I have been passionate about the sport of lacrosse since I was 4 years old.  I started in the goal after being run over by an SUV in 3^rd grade crushing my leg and wasn’t able to run.  I knew that if an SUV didn’t hurt me, that a lacrosse ball didn’t stand a chance.  I have been playing competitively at the club level since 4^th grade and have been playing on the varsity team at the high school level since my sophomore year; but my real dream has always been to play lacrosse at the college level.  My idols, Niko Amato and Drew Adams, along with many other local influences have been instrumental in my training and in keeping me focused on reaching my goals through summer camps, private coaching, and tournament play.  While my mother, a teacher, keeps me focused on my academics.  I recognize that dedication, perseverance, and making good choices in everything I do in life will help me reach my goals.  I am not sure yet where or at what level I want to play lacrosse in college, but I know that if I continue to work hard I will meet this goal.
