Personal Statement

Hello my name is Toluwalase and I’ll like to tell you What makes me a good candidate for your team? What makes me different from other players in character, athletics and academics? What makes me a good candidate for your team is my mindset, my mind-set is very adapting and adjustable, my abilities to adapt and adjust is very remarkable allowing me to read plays and be at the right place at the right moment, read players play-type seeing if their aggressive, very skilled, focused, wants to hurt you, etc. I also play more than one sport, I started run Cross Country this year (2019-2020) and I started running with a 22:20 and I’ve recently dropped to a 20:02 and made it to states. Why I bring this up is because even if I can’t get a full scholarship in lacrosse I can get a half scholarship in lacrosse and in Cross Country.

You maybe asking yourself but still “why should I pick you?” A billion candidates can know how to read a play but why should I pick you? The reason is my I don’t know when to stop, if I say I want something I want it and I will never give up even if there’s no hope in other people’s eyes my eyes show a different story, and that the kind of energy I want rub on my teammates because the truth is you can’t win a match by yourself. I am true to myself but I always get up no matter how my defenders hit me I’ll always get up.

“Now let’s say we accept you, will you actually do your work and not slack off?” My answer to that is yes, I will do the work, I’ve had a terrible start in elementary school but by the time I was getting older I realized that all the work I’ve been doing was easy it was me that was the problem and I’ve learned to fix that and study things ahead of times before being asked upon. My work will always be as important to do as if I was about to score a goal to end a sudden death round for the state championship.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
