Personal Statement

I first started playing lacrosse in the third grade through my hometown association so that I could play with my friends.  I quickly fell in love with the sport and it has become more than just a hobby.   While I continue to play three sports for my high school, lacrosse is without a doubt my passion.

Lacrosse has become the fastest-growing sport in the state of Minnesota over the past decade and I love seeing our players and teams achieving success across the country.   My high school has become a state power in boys lacrosse having competed in the state tournament six years in a row.  There are two former players from my high school that currently play NCAA D1 lacrosse that I model myself after as a player and person.  My goal is to follow in their footsteps and excel on and off the field as a leader.  I'm very proud of my Midwestern heritage and the work ethic of my family.   I will continue to work hard to earn an opportunity to play lacrosse as a student athlete at the collegiate level.
