People who know me say that I am caring, good-natured, competitive, respectful, coachable, team-oriented, committed, hardworking, and academically focused. My parents have taught me to work hard, be a good person and get along with others.
I got into lacrosse at 9 years old because wanted to play a sport with my friends. 6 years ago, I gave faceoff a shot and loved it. I love going head-to-head with other players and my even-demeanor and short memory make me suited for the position. I played several other sports until 8th grade and wrestled JV in 9th.
Lacrosse has taught me that you need to put the time in to get better and if you want to make a team and stay on a team, you have to keep pushing at all times, work as a team and motivate yourself and others around you. At the faceoff position you have to be smart and you learn how to overcome adversity and pressure since it's very difficult to win all of your faceoffs and a lot rides on possession.
Academics are my top priority and I am very focused on my grades and taking challenging AP and honors courses and am I am also a member of the National Honor Society. Without good academic performance I won't be able to achieve my academic and lacrosse goals. I am very interested in engineering/business and attend Benilde-Saint Margaret's Prep for the nationally-recognized engineering program and their lacrosse program is best in state winning the 2021 and 2022 state championships.
I've earned my way onto every team I have been on. I earned a state tryout at my first True tryout, but didn't make State. The next year, again I received a State tryout invite, but lost out. However, the coaches asked me to keep coming to State practices and I earned a roster spot mid-year. Two years ago, True MN 2023 moved to AAA and is ranked in the top 100 nationally three years in a row and I am now the sole faceoff specialist for the team. This level of play has pushed me to be my best. I practice every day and do what I can to be better at the position, better at lacrosse and a better teammate.
My academic focus, work ethic, team focus and attitude will make me a good fit for any opportunity I am fortunate enough to earn.
