My name is Zachary Smith and I aspire to play at the highest level of college lacrosse that my playing ability will allow. I want to play in College because that has been a goal of mine since I got really competitive playing lacrosse and wanting to be the best player I can for myself and the team I am on. I believe I can help any team by working hard and always wanting to get better each and everyday. I started The first ever high school lacrosse team at my high school my Freshman year because it was the only way I would be able to play without driving an hour everyday and I wanted to play at my school, Douglas High School. The Douglas Lacrosse program has grown in the past two years and has given others the opportunity to try lacrosse, including many of my friends. I am the Captain of our team and try to help in anyway that I can. Because our team was so new I have had the experience of playing all positions and now have the knowledge of being in multiple positions.
I also take my academics seriously and strive to do my best. I choose to take classes that are challenging even if that means I may not always get an A, but I am getting more out of it. I was inducted into the National Honor Society this year, which was a lot of work and it paid off. I plan to continue on this path and am planning on graduating with an Honors Diploma.
