When I love something I constantly work at it, there's no stopping me if I'm in the zone and I put my mind to it. That doesn't happen without passion for the game, in just my short time playing lacrosse I've gained so much love for the game it honestly surprised me. In the years before I started playing lacrosse I played and still play hockey but I also played basketball and baseball up until 8th grade but I never fell in love with those like I did with lacrosse. I would always see lacrosse on TV and get so into watching it I wouldn't pay attention to anything else, but it wasn't till I watched my friends' game that I knew I wanted to play. So why do i want to play in college , the simple answer is i'm not done i have a lot left in me and i want to compete at a much higher level.there's also people that when i tell them i want to play in college they're like no way you haven't been playing long enough it's impossible, i just want to prove that with heart and dedication none of that matters. I also have 2 little cousins that play and they look up to me. They dream of one day playing in college and I want to show them that if you put in the work and never give up you can do anything you want.
To me there's nothing better than getting a one on one during a game looking at them and knowing ive out trained them and out worked them on and off the field. That's the type of mentality I have . i'm going to show you i'm willing to outwork you, i use that for teammates too as a way to help push them to be the best players they can be. I got a very team first mindset, i'm willing to do whatever it takes to win, i'm not going to hold the ball and try to make the play myself to try and be the “hero” of the game if i have the shot i will take it but if there's a better shot available im passing it, anything to give the team the best chance of winning. I've always been more of the assist guy in every sport I've played but I know when to shoot and when to pass. Not many things bother me i've always been calm and level headed for the most part stuff just rolls off my back, but i'm never going to yell at or make comments about the ref or a player i was raised to treat people with respect and respect their decisions even if i don't agree or think it was a bad call. I'm a firm believer that it's important to not only be friends with your teammates but it should be like your all one big family, and I'll always have their backs no matter what.
My goals are to be the best teammate, player, brother, son i can be and leave a good impact on people, everyone messes up but it's how you bounce back it's how you push through and get to your goal no matter what people say about you good or bad while being a good role model setting an example for those looki. I also want to further my education i haven't always been the best student but with remote learning and the challenge we all faced that was a huge wake up call for me, and now i'm determined to do better this year and the coming years. Another goal is to play college lacrosse, yah its for me but it's also to show those 2 cousins, my sister, my family and friends that no matter what people tell you, you control your own destiny.
