Michael Storen '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Storen. I am a junior at Carmel High School in Carmel, NY. I play both Lacrosse, as a long pole defender, and Football, as a fullback and linebacker. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, the Italian Honor Society, and I am a Safe School Ambassador. I balance all of these activities while maintaining a 4.0 weighted GPA through a rigorous academic schedule, including several college courses. I am a true example of all that encompasses being a student athlete. I am a leader both on the field and in the classroom, leading by example, by how I conduct myself and by the effort I put forth in all that I do. I set high goals and work hard to achieve them. As a Lacrosse player, I was pulled up to the Varsity team as a freshman, and started every game as a sophomore, where I eventually worked my way up to defensive captain. I train year round and watch film to improve my game. My defensive strengths are one on one close defense, body positioning, footwork, ground balls, clearing in transition, and off ball play. My goal is to continue on at the collegiate level, where I can push myself further as a student athlete.I believe that my work ethic, speed, athleticism and game intelligence, along with my coachabilty will help bring my game to the next level.
