I am looking for a challenging academic environment to help my goals of studying law while competing in lacrosse at the highest level that I can.
In high school, through multiple advanced classes and a strong work ethic, I have been able to enroll in Honors level classes. As I continue in school, I will strive to maintain a high GPA, while enjoying a diverse curriculum. What I love most about school is meeting new friends in the classroom and exploring the subjects.
I love playing sports, but I have had to overcome many obstacles in my hockey career that taught me some valuable lessons on the lacrosse field. These obstacles include not making a team, playing on a team with players that didn’t get along, and having a head coach quit in the middle of a season. I’ve learned to practice hard, be vocal on the field/ice, and encourage others. The idea of failure used to be an obstacle for me, however, I now work to embrace feedback in order to grow.
What I love most about lacrosse is the speed of the game. With the combination of my size, speed and reachability, these have allowed me to become a more confident and aggressive defenseman. This has allowed me to play lacrosse at a fast pace which makes the game more enjoyable. I have been told by multiple coaches that I am “very coachable.” I’m working on my leadership skills on and off the field through encouraging and supporting my teammates. I have been fortunate enough to have played without serious injury. I believe this is a result of my consistent training, and probably some luck.
By being the best student athlete I can be, I know it will help me grow into the best version of myself.
