Dear Coach,
Lacrosse is not just a sport I play. It is something that represents the core of who I am. I live and breathe this sport and have the passion each day to be a better athlete and teammate then I was yesterday. This game has taught me many things including humility in the face of loss, to strive to be better with each challenge you are faced with , the value and respect of others and yourself with good sportsmanship, the importance of self discipline and integrity and the understanding that in life things do not always come easy but with hard work and dedication success is possible and the rewards are great.
As a child I can remember sleeping every night with my stick and dreaming about getting older and playing in college. I am ready and committed now to make this dream my reality. I look forward to the opportunities ahead as well as the challenges which will make me stronger . As I play attack I am always scanning the field and examining the play in order to make my next move and to successfully assist or score for my team. I am now examining the field of my future and am ready to attack the collegiate experience with my passion and desire to be a success both on and off the field.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Jared Pelliccione
