I was taught to always work hard, I didn't always think much of it until I got my first job. I learned quick if I'm paid to be there, I better give every ounce of energy I have. So I transitioned a hard work ethic into my sports. In lacrosse, I give everything I have and work every second I can so not only I can have the memories of the sport for the rest of my life, but so my teammates can have memories for themselves. I also like to surf, I surf in competitions, and I surf everyday but I wasn't always good. I entered my first competition with the same knowledge as a tourist buying a board thinking it is so easy. I watched good surfers, studied youtube videos, tried it myself and now I kick everyone's butt. That was all in the matter of one year to a year and a half. Lacrosse...I studied all day in class when I was done my work. Talked with my coaches on what to work on, and enjoyed the sport more than anyone else. As I grew up outside Philadelphia watching the NHL team the Flyers, they were once named the Broad Street Bullies known for fighting and being very aggressive, I find that good in lacrosse because it makes me very aggressive. Even as a goalie, I find myself as an enforcer and team leader because if someone is hugging the crease to score, I hit them hard to where it makes the offense scared to go near the crease, which makes it easier for me to save the ball. Also, me being aggressive helps bring energy to my team. There was a game against Carolina Forest where we were in overtime, last game before covid-19 ended our season, our record was 3-3 and my school has never had a winning record ever, (the season before we had our first win) but my team was playing slugish and I hit a kid hugging the crease, my teammates woke up, few plays later I launched a pass to a player past midfield who passes to "X" who passes to Holden Rue on the crease for the game winning goal. I find aggressiveness a big part of my game, helps me stay locked in and focus. Motivates me to get better too.
