Hello my name is Jack Hacker, I play defense, and I currently am a junior at Pope John Paul II preparatory school.
I have about seven years of experience, and I play on my schools varsity team. I started playing lacrosse in the fourth grade and it quickly turned into an outlet for me to put my focus on something productive, and as a way for me to build my athletic and leadership skills. One of my proudest moments was when in eighth when I was awarded the Knights award, which is an award given to a player who shows strong sportsmanship and is always willing to assist other team mates whenever possible. That award gave me great pride and ever since I have worked to always try and be a beacon of leadership and encouragement to my team.
I take my academics very seriously and I try to take as many AP and honors classes as I can. I am apart of my schools robotics team, we were able to go to the state VEX robotics competition my freshman year. During which I was the only freshman on a team of juniors and seniors. I was also able to win bronze at my schools STEM symposium, on a group research project for my chemistry class.
I am looking for a college that will allow for me to develop my knowledge in the STEM field, and so I am interested in colleges with engineering and science programs. I also am looking to develop myself as a student and as a leader. I am interested in military academies or colleges with Corp of Cadets or ROTC programs that will allow me to prepare for a career in the military.
