Lacrosse is not just a sport for me, it’s as much about the community and people as it is a game. Playing lacrosse has given me so much, obvious physical benefits but mental toughness that only comes from being a goalie. In the future, I hope to be able to give back even a fraction of what it has given me. It’s intensity, speed and deadly shoots make it unlike any other sport and my favorite by far.
Why me? I believe my greatest strengths are character and dedication. Strengths that lead. It doesn't start or end on the field, its and everyday all the time thing, even when no one else is looking. Starts with vision and revolves around continuous improvement.
Being a goalie is the toughest test of a leader. It’s a balance of responsibility to the team and the example and motivation for the team. It’s not only calling the defensive plays, but also handling adversity through discipline while maintaining ultimate focus.
Academics are very important to me as well. I was selected from the entire central Virginia region for the Center for Leadership & International Relations at James River HS in Richmond, VA. I have excelled thus far through rigorous Honors and AP courses and have a true desire to learn.
I feel like I lead by example and hard work in everything I do!
