My name is Aidan Mohr. I am currently a junior at Sherando High School and have been playing lacrosse for a little over six years now. Lacrosse has played a very important role in my life and has been my main interest for as long as I can remember. During the summer before my Sophomore year, I experienced an ACL, MCL, and meniscus tear while playing lacrosse which would cause me to spend my time out of sports rehabilitating my knee for the next 14 months. Although I was devastated, this missed time showed me how much lacrosse means to me and how I want to continue to play beyond my High School career. I am now back to playing with the hope of making this aspiration of mine come true. I feel that I have come back stronger than I was before and am excited to prove my talent in the upcoming year
I am a very dedicated and hard working student. I am part of the National Honor Society and the All A Honor Roll while also maintaining four AP classes. I am fifth in my class out of 382 students and am also on track to graduate from High School with my Associates Degree which is an achievement I am very proud of. I have a major interest in Engineering and plan on attending a college with a successful program in this field. My academics are very important to me, and while I do hope to play lacrosse in college, academic success is a necessity for me to attend the school.
What makes me stand out from the rest of the student athletes out there is my incredible work ethic and determination to succeed. The 14 months spent rehabilitating my knee was the hardest I've ever had to work and a serious test to my passion and motivation. I am always willing to put in the extra effort to be the best I can be as shown by my academic achievements. My mindset is to give it 110% on everything I do.
