There is nothing that I have ever been more passionate about than rowing. The sport of rowing has changed my life and made me the person that I look up to. Ever since I joined crew I have noticed a change in myself. This sport has brought my motivation to levels I thought never possible. Every single day that I wake up knowing that I am apart of this sport betters me as a person and gives me a newfound sense of purpose in life. I have a sense of brotherhood, comradery, and respect for all my fellow partners at oars. Because of the crew, I have developed some of the best friendships as well as respect for my coaches. Rowing has truly turned me into a leader on and off the water. I feel the constant need to push harder, do better, and be there for my teammates as for I know that we all share the ultimate goal of bettering ourselves. I am willing to put it any amount of effort and work in the name of enhancing my ability to perform better for me and my crew. I want to continue to provide this sense of leadership to not only OARS but in the future at the college level. I understand that the limit of my successes is truly limitless and I am doing everything that I can to better myself, my teammates, and my family. The sport of rowing is simply something I could not live without and is something that I want to continue to take part in at the collegiate level.
