Hello! My name is Dylan Moses and I am a rising senior at Andover High School in Andover, Massachusetts. I began rowing fall of my junior year since my previous sport, sailing, wasn't running that fall. This twist of fate turned into a full-time ambition, with my decision to row the following spring rather than run track (which I had done the previous two years). My natural aptitude for the sport coupled with my coachability earned me an invite to Greater Lawrence Rowing's high-performance group (HPG) summer of 2024. Rowing has taught me a lot about commitment and endurance. With it being the first endurance sport I have participated in, I have learned how to work hard and push through pain to become as strong a rower as possible.
In the coming year, I aim to drop my 2k erg score as low as possible and to do a test on different distances (10k, 6k, etc.). I am also striving to improve my form in the boat.
Outside of rowing, I have immense leadership experience. Throughout my sophomore year, I led my Boy Scout troop, organizing meetings and planning outings. I continue to contribute greatly to the troop, serving as one of its most active members. Additionally, I was a dedicated member of Andover High's track and field team, with my hurdles coach describing me as "work[ing] harder than any other athlete [she] has known."
I would love to compete at the collegiate level after I graduate and continue to enjoy the sport!
