I've learned that the most important thing one can have in life is choice. Choices are the thing that give you control over your life, let you achieve what you aim for, and the only way to get those choices is through hard work. So right now, my goal is to hunker down for the remaining year of IB high school and get into the best college that I can, because I know that the best school will give me the best choices. Beyond this, I don't want to have too precise a plan right now. I don't know what awaits me when I leave high school, when I leave Boston, when I leave home, and I love that. There is so much more to explore. The world is so big, so full of academic areas I've never even touched before that I doubt I've already found my passion. As of now, my plan is to go to the best Liberal Arts school I can and explore topics for a year or so and find out where to go next academically. My dream is to make a tangible difference, not just to coast along as an average Joe. But I have not found exactly how I will do that yet because I have not had enough life experiences. Right now, rowing is what gives me a sense of purpose.
