I want to accompany my collegiate education with a competitive and life-bettering social group alternative to a fraternity, which I have found in rowing. In college rowing, I want to have a competitive atmosphere while also improving the potential of my physical and mental capabilities. I would prefer rowing for Division I schools and more competitive Division III schools as I want to commit to the sport at the highest levels. My favorite part of the sport is the process a boat takes to come together and get faster. I have been described to be a 'coach-able' athlete, learning how to win a wrestling match from the yelling of a coach mat-side, and making quick changes to my technique on the water. In school, I have taken a variety of honors and AP classes, keeping me academically challenged throughout the year. I am also a musician and have played the cello for seven years.
