I have been rowing since the age of 12. As my power and skill increased I developed a love for the sport. I wanted to row not only to get into great shape but to challenge myself. I wanted to see how far I could push myself in this sport. I was the stroke seat and the captain of my team. I am willing to go the extra distance, literally and metaphorically. I am willing to work harder, longer, and push myself further to become better. In the boat and the gym. I also am a team player, whichever team I am on, I try my hardest to motivate my teammates and push them to their limits as well as mine. Because rowing is a team sport, not a one-man show. My goal is to become a collegiate rower and to use the skills and lessons I learned on the water to make me a better person.
