I have been rowing for Long Island Rowing Club competitively since the 8th grade. I mostly scull in quads, doubles and singles but I can also row both port and starboard. I’ve competed in Youth Nationals, Head of the Charles, Head of the Passiac, Head of the Fish, NY Scholastic Championships and local regattas on Long Island.
I have always had a passion for anything that has to do with the water. My love of the water start with helping my grandfather, who is a lobsterman, out on his fishing boat. I learned to appreciate the hard physical work this type of job entails and see myself working in this manner out on the water.
During rowing off season, in addition to indoor training, I also swim for my high school’s varsity swim team. Have been a part of the varsity team since 8th grade.
Outside of school I’m very involved with Boy Scouts, presently on the journey of achieving the Rank of Eagle. For my Eagle Scout project, I designed and will be building boat racks for my rowing club, Long Island Rowing. Our team is a non-for-profit club, we are always grateful for donations and fundraising of any kind.
I would like to attend college where there is an opportunity to be on the water, not just in athletics but academically and eventually a career.
