Personal Statement

I have a passion for making boats move fast! I am fortunate to row for Oregon Rowing Unlimited, a top national team. I am ambidextrous and can row both port and starboard, am an excellent coxswain, and enjoy sculling in small boats. I try to lead by example, while also supporting and encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest-working rowers you'll find.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA in the most rigorous classes available. Through many extracurricular activities, I demonstrate leadership, academic dedication, and volunteer my time to help others.

I want to attend a college where I can continue to challenge myself in the classroom and through rowing. Thanks for looking at my profile and considering me for a fit with your team. I'm hoping to meet you in the future!

Primarily Sculling team. We practice 6 days a week, for 2.5 hours a day. In the Spring, we practice for 22 hours a week. Winter season is from November to January, and we do not erg as a team outside of this season.
