Since a very young age, I have been obsessed with the sport of soccer. I have played competitively since I was 10 years old and I have made it a personal goal to play soccer at the highest level. I am a fantastic leader, excel in positive reinforcement, and in motivating my teammates when games are difficult. One of my greatest skills is being able to unite and foster confidence in my teammates. I believe this skill will be crucial to the growth and development of my team collectively. Inspiring my team will result in stronger bonds between myself and my teammates and create better relationships with my coaches. Apart from my character, I also have important soccer attributes that help me be the best player I can be on the field. I am a very physical and technical center-back, and I have also played wing-back. I have a high soccer IQ and am able to see the field and work instinctively with fullbacks and midfielders. Being just as successful off the field as on the field is very important to me and is imperative to my success. I am an honors IB student with straight A's and play an integral role in my school’s student government which strengthens my qualities which I hope to exemplify on the field. My ultimate philosophy as a soccer player is to "never let success get to my head, and never let failure get to my heart". My goal is not to be the best player on the team but rather be the best player for the team, and have my teammates' best interests at heart. The success of my team is far more important than my personal success.
