Brandon Thomas - ...Personal Statement
I am a Central Midfielder who excels at controlling the flow of the game and creating big chances for the attack. I have been the captain of my team since 2018 and enjoy leading by example through demonstrating hardwork and teamwork in everything I do. I am a genuine student of the game (for all sports actually), I love to analyze games and my opponents, and to discuss game strategy with my coaches that could offer us an advantage during games. I also play on my high school basketball team and in 2023 we were crowned district champions, regional champions and sadly lost the provincial championship final game in double-overtime.
I have a 3.8 GPA and understand that balancing academics with sports is an important key to achieve excellence. My school teachers would tell you that I am positive influence in their class, and a student who is motivated to work hard to achieve the best results.
I am Canadian and will graduate high school in the class of 2026. My ultimate goal is to find a U.S. university soccer team that can use my talents to strengthen their team, while also improving my own game and earning a degree.

- Averaging 300 College Coaches each year, the Boys College Showcase is one of four elite tournaments in our visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series in Raleigh, North Carolina. The visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series is nationally recognized for great competition from around the country, exposure to college coaches, and much more! The Boys College Showcase is open to premier and elite level teams (U15 - U19) from around the country and abroad.

- Players will be assigned to a team with two current college coaches serving as the head coaches. College coaches will run a training session with their team in the afternoon and then players will compete in two 35-minute 11v11 games in the evening. Players will also attend a college recruiting round table where they will be able to connect with college coaches and learn more about their programs.
