I began academy level soccer in Maryland at age 7. My love for the game stayed with me as I moved to California at age 11 and continued my club career, now as a U17 MLS Next player. I have benefited from playing under different coaching systems, styles, and environments at the highest levels. I enjoy pushing myself and learning something new each time I hit the field.
I am a left-footed 6'1, 160lb center defender, who can also play either left or right back because of my explosive speed, ball movement, and strength on the ball. My work ethic and vocal leadership are often highlighted by my coaches. I pride myself on my diverse ball distribution and strategic thinking.
When not on the field, I am not only handling a rigorous AP course schedule but I am leading my high school's Improv Team as an Executive Board Member. There are several aspects of Improv that carry over directly to being a defender: thinking quickly on my feet, having a strong/confident voice, and connecting with people.
Premier League Scout Feedback (April 2024 UK Football Trials):
“William has a good build and size for a center-half, which also shows a good level of speed and endurance that sets the standard for the rest of the team."
“Main player strengths: defensive positioning and tactical awareness are very good; possesses a good range of passing depending on the situation that his team are in; extremely coachable; determined to improve and take good advice on board."
