Caleb Mendoza '19 Recruiting Profile

Im a better candidate than other competing athletes because of my experience, passion, drive and skills in the sport of soccer. Im currently 16 as a junior and have been a starting player on a semi pro team since sophomore year. Freshman year I began playing on varsity, standing out from others because of my vision, my scoring ability, placement of the ball and with the ability to play with both left and right foot. I have a passion to play the sport of soccer and it has been my dream to play at a higher division and if I had the opportunity, to hopefully play pro. College is my goal but playing is my passion. My parents gave me the opportunity to have a better life than them, so achieving something my parents never could and making it big so they could be proud of me is my motivation. Maintaining my grades as high as I could is also a big priority and even having a full plate with sports, school, church, and my family academics was never a problem. Over the years i have been working my hardest to get where i am today as the Castro Valley high school varsity captain and leading scorer for the last two years. I am a good candidate for your college and I strive to do my best to make myself and the college better as much as i can in the years to come.
